Scientific research fields
Scientific research conducted by our faculty was directed towards the development of science and technology in the engineering field, increasing the economic competitiveness in the south-east of Romania for the capitalization of research results.
RESEARCH DIRECTIONS
1. The safety of building structures: structural analysis models, risk assessment and vulnerability;
2. Techniques and models for rehabilitation and strengthening of historical and architectural monuments;
3. Hydrodynamics and coastal engineering studies;
4. Research on unsteady regime of water movement in under pressure hydraulic systems;
5. Methods, techniques and procedures for the use and exploitation of water resources in conditions of extreme weather events (drought, water excess and climate change);
6. Administration and management of reclamation land in terms of sustainable development;
7. Studies on the energy efficiency of pumping installations in the hydraulic systems, facilities and utilities.
8. Studies on the composition of concrete, the quality of materials and the technology of concrete;
9. Methods and technologies for land improvement.
